At 1000 standard miles in length, The Absolution-Class Command Carrier is one of the largest types of vessels in the known Multiverse. The only known Absolution-Class Carrier in existence is the Independence, flagship of the Ormaran Confederation. The Independence began life in the Inglesh Universe as the Eliminator and was for many years a symbol of Inglesh tyranny; built for the specificl purpose of conquest on a monumental scale. During her tenure as a powerful Inglesh weapon of war, she was commanded by Admiral William Ieolus, suprime commander of the Inglish Navy, answerable only to Queen Victoria XXVII herself. Upon her death at the hands of Defectronian assasains, the Inglish Empire fell into civil war, but Admiral Ieolus intended to take his revenge upon the Multiverse Confederacy and her allies, culminating in the Battle of Padre where the Eliminator was crippled and Ieolus presumed dead. The Multiverse Confederacy salvaged the vessel, refitted it to their purposes and rechristened it the Independence. It is unknown if the Inglesh ever constructed more Absolution-Class Command Carriers, but many of the nations of the known Multiverse are ready with super-massive Command Carriers of their own.   |
