  Overview... The Guest Republic, formaly the Guest Socialist Republic and sometimes as the GSR, was a Socialist Dictatorship that arose in the Parsonles sector of the Outwrold Galaxy. At its' height it layed claim to several hundred systems by force and coquered much of the Wilcom States. It shared a border with the Wilcom Union and had ties to both the Visian Empire and the Jabaan Mafia. The Guest Republic was a relatively small and peacefull nation on the edge of Wilcom space until the rise of the tyrant known as President Ulysses Persius Siberious Monkey. Months after a dubious election, President Monkey ordered the anexation of systems on the edge of Guest space. In time, the small Guest war machine snowballed into an all-out invastion force bent on conquering it's neighbor, the Wilcom Union. Threatened by this rapid expansion of a hostile nation, much of the Outworld Galaxy united under the Outworld Confederacy and the Monkey Wars began. Within several months the Guest Republic was defeated, President Monkey was dead and the capital world of the Guest Republic was decimated so badly that it was made nearly uninhabitable. Today, the lifeless cinder that is the former Guest capital world known as Parsia is owned by the NikoStarz Conception Company. Government... The Guest Republic was governed by a Socialist Autocracy headed by President U.P.S. Monkey. Before the Guest Socialist Party came to power, the Republic was a democracy. Economy... The Guest Republic had a mildly capitalist economy that was pushed into full-fledged communism when the Guest Socialist Party took power. It favored industrial development at all costs and while this approach worked for a time it proved to be unsustainable.   The blood-red uniform of the Guest Socialist Republic was designed to be intimidating to anyone not wearing one (and even those who were). It consisted of a jacket with braided shoulder pads and eight prominent, gold clasps, one belt, one pair of leather gloves, one pair of flaired pants, one pair of all-weather boots and a cap.   |
