History...
The Sparrow-Class Fighter was comissioned nearly two decades ago to replace the aging Hawk-Class Fighter, several years before the start of the Pseudo Wars. It was named the Sparrow-Class for it's high-speed capabilities, making it an excellent hit-and-run fighter. Though the Sparrow-Class Fighter served during the Pseudo Wars, it was not until the Monkey Wars years later that it's capabilites truly shined.
After the Monkey Wars, the Sparrow-Class became one of the most popular fighter designs in the known Multiverse. Though many have been bought legitimately through the Dairaian government, the design has also been copied by rival ship designers and sold at a cheaper cost. Even today, the Sparrow-Class Fighter, Dairaian-built or not, remains popular amongst the nations of the Multiverse.
Variants...

Variants and copies of the Sparrow-Class abound in the known Multiverse. The one pictured above is used by the Ebon Angels Mercenary Corps.
